Apple sauce

It all started when…

3 pounds apples. We prefer a mixture of varieties!

Apple cider

Frozen berries or peaches, optional

  1. Peel and slice the apples. Place in a large pot.

  2. Pour cider into pot so that it comes up the sides of the pot by 3 inches.

  3. Cook on medium heat until the cider boils, stirring with a wooden spoon occasionally.

  4. Lower heat and partially cover. Continue to stir and mash with the wooden spoon (or potato masher) until the desired consistency is reached. We like ours to still have some apple chunks in it!

  5. Optional: Once almost done, mix in frozen berries or peaches. Continue to cook until desired consistency is reached.
